Every January Banff and Lake Louise come alive with the annual SnowDays celebration. The streets of downtown Banff transform into larger-than-life winter galleries with giant snow sculptures to be found throughout. The thrill of Skijoring can be felt by excited onlookers lining the streets of Banff Avenue and the sounds of laughter and joy can be heard echoing from the SnowDays Play Zone.
How will you indulge your sense of adventure on your SnowDays holiday? Three world-class ski resorts are waiting to welcome you, fluffy pow at the ready. The cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails of the park are more picturesque than ever, and the iconic Lake Louise ice rink invites you to skate and play in the quintessential Canadian experience.

Skijoring

Skijoring is coming to Banff! Teams of athletes and horses from Skijor Canada will descend on the town of Banff for a breath-taking exhibition of horse-riding, trick-riding, and ski stunts. Join us to watch Alberta cowboys, cowgirls, and their horses, partner with trick skiers to thrill and entertain the crowd.
Snow Sculptures
An exhibition of mastery and an outdoor gallery of awesome size and grandeur transforms downtown Banff during the SnowDays festival. During the first days of the festival catch talented Canadian sculptors in action as they contour enormous blocks of snow into works of art. Grab a hot drink to go, bundle up and follow the trail of snow sculptures throughout downtown Banff from the Whyte Museum, to Bear Street and Banff Avenue Square.
SnowDays Play Zone
January 18-22 & 25-29
Bike, climb, slide and play at the Play Zone, open Wednesdays to Sundays during SnowDays. Celebrate the joy of snow with a specially-designed activity area, full of fun for the whole family. Get excited for ice slides, sledding hill, fat tire bike track, cross-country ski track, winter activity rentals and more!

Your mountain adventure awaits! The Jasper Beer & Spirits Festival, hosted at the world-renowned Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, is unlike any beer festival experience in the world. Think of it as part beer/spirit festival, part intriguing story-time seminars, and part wilderness adventure.
Each evening of the 2 night festival will feature a different line up of tantalizing craft beers and spirits to sample, as well as succulent foods prepared by the amazing chefs at JPL! During the day, listen to passionate stories from some of the top brewers and distillers in the world plus other amazing guests. Think of the Summit like the League of Super Heroes, but more chill, with brewer/distiller super powers, and way, way, way more beards.

Guests are also able to sample from stationary action stations inside the hall, along with a variety of tantalizing bites available from local businesses!
