Diamond Valley Parade Day
Diamond Valley, Alberta
Diamond Valley Parade
Begins at 10:00 a.m.
The day begins with a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by the staff and students of Oilfields High School.
At 9:30 a.m., the roads along the parade route are closed or rerouted, and the Parade starts at 10 am, making a large loop around the community of Black Diamond.
After the Parade, the excitement continues at Millennium Park in former Turner Valley. Attendees can enjoy a wide range of activities, including bounce houses, a petting zoo, face painting, dunk tank, artisan market, Lion's Club barbecue, and a dance party. It is a perfect opportunity to spend time with family and friends and to have some fun in the sun.
Aside from the Parade and Diamond Valley Day at Millennium Park, other events are taking place around town including the annual Sheep River Library Book Sale and the Valley Neighbours' Club Plant Sale and the Sheep Creek Arts Council Bake Sale and Quilt Show.
The Diamond Valley Parade is a time-honoured tradition in Diamond Valley - currently celebrating it's 55th year! Line up along the parade route which loops around the streets of the Black Diamond community to watch the lively showbands and musical performances, floats constructed by local community groups and businesses, and plenty of horse back riders and horse-drawn wagon entries.
