OneWorld Festival
The OneWorld Festival presented by TD is GlobalFest's premiere showcase of the dynamic and vibrant ethno-cultural communities found within our city. Programming during the OneWorld Festival includes cultural pavilions, performances, ethnic food vendors, and the GlobalFest Tipi.
With the new location at Spruce Meadows, they have spread the OneWorld pavilions in clusters throughout the festival venue. As you visit each of the cultural pavilions you will be greeted by volunteers from the pavilion's respective local cultural association. Marvel at the curated displays showcasing art, fashion and informative displays profiling their culture as it is seen in Calgary. Participate in the many activities they have planned to engage young and old.
To assist you in your OneWorld journey, participate in the Passport Pursuit Challenge. Get your passport at any of the pavilions, or visit the Passport Pursuit Cluesolvers promotional tent. Better yet, sign up for the Cluesolvers Passport Pursuit Passport online and secure your digital passport. There's no cost to participate and we have some amazing prizes to possibly win based on how many pavilions you visited and secured the knowledge-based question. Each pavilion will have its own unique question you need to acquire through your visit.
Enjoy vibrant cultural performances at the TD Main Stage, the Air Canada Stage as well as smaller stages and performance spaces spread through the festival grounds. Performances begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue through to 9:00 p.m. nightly.
Another way to enjoy your exploration of cultural diversity is by visiting the many cultural food vendors and food trucks on site. Experience the OneWorld Festival, a vibrant, multi-sensory celebration of global sights, sounds and flavours, all coming together at GlobalFest at Spruce Meadows.

From a fireworks dream to one of Calgary's signature festivals. The story of GlobalFest began in 1993 with the formation of The Calgary Fireworks Festival Society. For years, the not-for-profit society searched for a suitable fireworks launch site in Calgary. The challenge was finding a location that could support a large viewing area, meet safety requirements, and allow large-scale pyrotechnics to be launched. After eight years of searching, the society discovered Elliston Park in Calgary's Greater Forest Lawn district in 2001. Around the same time, the International Avenue Arts and Culture Centre was exploring the idea of creating a multicultural festival in East Calgary.
The two groups crossed paths while presenting to the International Avenue BRZ and quickly saw the opportunity to create something bigger together a world-class celebration of cultural diversity, artistic excellence, and international fireworks.
GlobalFest officially launched in 2003 with 10 cultural pavilions and three countries presenting pyromusical fireworks as part of Calgary's own international fireworks festival. By the fourth and final night of its first year, GlobalFest had reached nearly 100,000 attendees, immediately establishing itself as one of Calgary's top draws for locals and visitors.
What began as a partnership between fireworks, arts, and culture organizations quickly became one of the city's most beloved summer traditions.
The next chapter is a new home at Spruce Meadows. A renewed vision for the future. After a period of uncertainty around GlobalFest's future, Showpass stepped in to help preserve the festival and support its next chapter.
The 2026 edition of GlobalFest will take place August 27–30 at Spruce Meadows, marking an exciting new chapter for the event. With a larger and more flexible festival site, expanded indoor and outdoor areas, improved guest flow, upgraded cultural pavilions, more food and vendor space, drone shows, and enhanced programming, GlobalFest is being reimagined while staying true to what made it special.
Globalfest at Spruce Meadows offers more space to explore. More room to connect. More reasons to look up.
Spruce Meadows gives GlobalFest a new home with the scale, infrastructure, and setting to support the festival's evolution.
The move creates more room for cultural programming, food vendors, family areas, sponsor activations, performances, indoor spaces, outdoor gathering areas, and unforgettable evening finales. It also creates new opportunities to make the festival feel more seamless, comfortable, and exciting from arrival to the final burst of fireworks.
Looking ahead to preserving the legacy. Elevating the experience.
GlobalFest's next chapter is about protecting what Calgary already loves while creating space for the festival to grow.
The fireworks remain. The culture remains. The food, music, community, education, and sense of discovery remain.
Now, with a new home, renewed support, and a bold vision for the future, GlobalFest is ready to shine even brighter.
