Workshop - Matters of the Heart: Heart Dissections

This Valentine’s season, look a little closer at what truly makes the heart beat. Matters of the Heart invites you to step into the lab for a guided, hands-on exploration of a real sheep’s heart, uncovering the structures that power life, love, and movement across species.

Led by expert facilitators,participants will carefully dissect a preserved sheep heart while learning how its chambers, valves, and vessels work together to keep blood flowing.

Along the way, you’ll draw connections between animal and human anatomy, gaining a deeper appreciation for the biology behind every pulse. No prior experience is needed - just curiosity and a willingness to follow your heart!

5:30 p.m. – Guests may begin arriving and proceed to the ENMAX Conservatory for seating. The bar opens
