National Caesar Day should be on a Sunday and not on a Thursday. To respect the great Canadian tradition of Caesar Sunday, YYCaesarfest 2023 will be held on the May long weekend Saturday night and Sunday day! Celebrating one of Calgary's greatest contributions to Canadian culture! This annual two day event kicks off on National Caesar Day! YYCaesarfest is an event celebrating the Caesar cocktail in the city where it was created.

The guests at the restaurant loved it and soon so did the city, the province and the country…the rest is history. In 2010 the Canadian government declared the Caesar as Canada's National Cocktail and now Calgary is officially taking it back
