On July 1, celebrate Canada Day and the 7th anniversary of Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre (NMC). Visitors can explore Canada’s musical mosaic through new exhibitions, catch some live music performances by Canadian artists, and enjoy hands-on activities for the whole family across multiple floors. Admission is free courtesy of connectFirst Credit Union.

Visitors are also encouraged to hop across the street to the King Eddy during their visit, where National Music Centre will be programming the rooftop and mainstage with family-friendly live music from 1:00 p.m. 'til close.

To thank supporters, NMC will be offering 50% off all NMC Memberships for one-day only on July 1. Memberships will be available for purchase onsite and online at studiobell.ca/become-a-member.

EV Street Fair is a signature event attracting more than 25,000 visitors, with over 50 vendors, food trucks, musicians, all ages activities, Pup Plaza and the 5th Street Square Beer Garden. It’s no wonder this is Calgary’s destination event on Canada Day.

This one of kind event is a chance for all types of businesses and vendors to get exposure with the general public, local East Village businesses, and community leaders. Together with community partners, BownessFest is back for a second year in a row, celebrating our country's culture, history, and diversity through music, art, and food, so we can create lasting bonds of understanding and appreciation. Celebrate in Banff on Friday, July 1st, 2023

Join in for another exciting Canada Day in Banff, and celebrate Canada’s rich heritage, explore the activities and performances happening all over the beautiful downtown core. From family-friendly entertainment, to engaging arts & crafts, to amazing musical acts, there is something for everyone.

Everything kicks off at 11:00 a.m. with the opening ceremonies at the Central Park main stage. There will be a full day of musical acts and other surprises. Check out vendors and artisans at the Canada Day Market and don’t forget to visit Parks Canada at Museum Corner for some amazing arts and crafts and puppetry shows teaching all about Banff National Park wildlife. Make your way along the Banff Avenue Pedestrian Zone to see marching bands and dance troupes at the Performance Zone, starting at 11:30 a.m. This year there will be an Art Lane, in collaboration with the Whyte Museum, where artist will create chalk art and paintings. Then, head over to the High School Family Fun Zone for a variety of classic Canadian summer activities and some new ones, too.

Need a break from the crowds? Grab a seat at the Bear’s Den cooling zone, where you can listen to a selection of talented local musicians and storytellers. During the evening, there will be great performances lined up at the Central Park main stage. Join the Community Cruisers for the Bike Parade. All non-motorized wheeled transports are welcome, such as skateboards, scooters and in-line skates. At 10:30 a.m., meet at the Protection Mountain Shelter to start decorating your ride. The parade will start at 11:30 a.m. for a fun, slow group ride until 12:00 p.m., finishing at the Banff Avenue Performance Zone, where Mayor Corrie DiManno will award a prize for the best decorated ride.
