With more than $250,000 in prize money up for grabs, Strathmore Stampede, is Canada's Third Largest Rodeo. It's just 25 minutes east of Calgary on the Trans Canada Highway. World, Canadian and Calgary Stampede champions are among over 400 contestants competing in seven major rodeo events including: saddle bronc, bareback, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping and ladies barrel racing plus novice bareback and saddlebronc and breakaway roping. Many of these top ranked competitors and rodeo stock will also appear at both the Canadian and National Finals Rodeos, as well as the Calgary Stampede.

The Strathmore Stampede annually welcomes the World Professional Chuckwagon Association Tour! During each heat, four wagons, drivers, and 16 horses thunder through the figure-8 start in the infield and around the 5/8 mile track right in front of the crowd. Professional Chuckwagon Racing is a spectacle unsurpassed anywhere and will be a western memory you will never forget!

Since 2003, the Strathmore Stampede has been the home of Running with the Bulls within Canada. Approximately 70 runners will face 3 rounds of wild, untamed bulls. An inner circle of fencing is set up within the infield, creating a track. The objective for runners is to be the bravest, most daring, and crowd entertaining runner alongside the bulls. A panel of judges and the Stampede Fans in attendance will determine the winner for a prize of $1000, a buckle and bragging rights. The Running with the Bulls Event is included during the evening Chuckwagon performance on Saturday and Sunday only. Get your fix by watching fearless men and women run for their lives! Sign up behind the grandstand from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. the day of for $25. Registration is first come first serve per day for a maximum of 70 runners. Entertainment for the weekend includes the Rodeo, Chuckwagons, Running with the Bulls, Running with the Rams, stage & grounds entertainment, Cobb's Adventure Park, the Can Am Wrestling Camp, Mechanical Bull and compete in the Royal LePage Beat the Bull competition, Kisling Farms Petting Zoo, Extreme Dogs, heavy horse pull, tradeshow, beer gardens, concessions and a Creative Arts Show. and so much more.
