Come for the berries, stay for the fun!
The annual Huckleberry Festival is Castle Mountain's biggest summer event and welcomes guests from near and far for this special weekend. It brings the community, locals, families, and friends together for a celebration of all things summer. Enjoy tons of FREE live music, the bbq/beer garden, scenic chairlift rides, berry picking, a mountain (vendor) market, and a chicken & rib dinner to cap it all off.
The main attraction of this fun family event are the Huckleberries! Castle Mountain's main mountain, Mount Gravenstafel is home to thousands of Huckleberry bushes and loads of berries. The "Blue" Sundance Chair operates for two days only during the summer. Bring a bucket with a good fitting lid so you don't loose your berries, sunscreen, water and hat and good hiking clothes.
Live FREE outdoor music starts in the base area before 12:00 p.m. and the tunes will be rockin' the valley until late.
All afternoon in the lodge local crafters will be showing and selling their creations. The community silent auction, also in the lodge is a great spot to grab some good deals and do some unique shopping. Mark this dates on your calendar and plan to bring the whole family. If you haven't had a chance to experience Castle in the summer this is a great opportunity to check it out.
