Great Canadian Beer Festival

This year they have two ticket options: Entry Only and Token Inclusive.
Entry Only gets you entrance to the festival on either the Friday or Saturday. You will receive your beer program and tasting cup and have the opportunity to be drink tokens inside the festival.

Token Inclusive gets you entrance to the festival on either Friday or Saturday PLUS 10 drink tokens to start with. You will receive your tokens at the door alongside your beer program and tasting cup. This option lets you skip the token line and dive right into the beer! More tokens are available for purchase on site

The Weekend Pass gets your entry to both days of the festival, Friday & Saturday, and includes 10 tokens each day. This is basically two Token Inclusive tickets, with a sweet $10 off deal.

The Victoria Beer Society hosts the 29th annual Great Canadian Beer Festival as it returns to Victoria on September 8 & 9.

Featuring 80+ Canadian craft breweries from coast to coast, the 29th annual edition of Canada’s oldest beer festival will bring beer from every region of Canada. This year is going to be bigger than ever! Get excited by checking out 50 exclusive beers brought in from across Canada. This year brings 14 breweries from outside of BC to the festival, representing Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. Among fan favourites like Blood Brothers (Ontario), Dieu de Ciel (Quebec) and the infamous 2 Crows (Nova Scotia), this lineup includes brand new breweries like XhAle Brew Co. from Alberta and Banished Brewing all the way from Newfoundland & Labrador. GCBF brings forth a line-up of over 250 beers. This also includes a variety of ciders, mead, gluten free beers, and non-alcoholic beers. Other non-alcoholic drinks like kombucha, soda and juice may be available for purchase from participating food vendors.

GCBF gives festival goers the opportunity to taste beers they can’t find anywhere else in British Columbia! This premium tasting event will feature 250 different beers from 80 breweries from coast to coast, many of them served by the brewers themselves. It’s a rare opportunity to talk to these folks about what makes their beer special, and to try some new and classic brews from their lineup. Some breweries will serve cask-conditioned beers exclusively produced for the festival.

The Great Canadian Beer Festival has become one of the world's must attend beer events. People from all over the globe seek out Victoria and the GCBF every year brewers from Australia, volunteers from England and beer lovers from all over. The little annual beer festival first held in 1993 has blossomed into a truly international event.

The GCBF is held each year on the first weekend after Labour Day with over 90 craft breweries from across Canada and the USA and more than 8000 happy people coming together in the beautiful city of Victoria to celebrate the diversity of the brewers' craft.

As always, there is non-stop entertainment by local acts and once again there will be a fantastic selection of food offered by local restaurants and caterers. Join in this year in Canada's beer capital for lots of fun, sun and some really great beers!
